A few years
ago, when facing the potentially disastrous situation of having
our brick chimney separate from an outside wall, we sought a
contractor to address the problem. We called a number of trades
experienced in stone masonry but were told the job was too
small. Gemco Fireplaces recommended W.E. Young Renovations, and
upon seeing photos of the fine work they had done for others we
decided to give them a try. We were so impressed with their safe
demolition of our 2 old wood burning fireplaces & unsafe
chimney, & highly skilled installation of a new Napoleon gas
fireplace that we contracted them again 2 years later to do
further extensive renos to our 46 year old bungalow. Gayle was
stricken with rheumatoid arthritis & couldn’t manage stairs to
do laundry etc. so we had them convert our spare upstairs
bedroom to a combination main floor laundry/bathroom. We also
had them upgrade our old bathroom with a new soaker tub, toilet
& sink & they tiled our kitchen and back entry. They replaced
our worn out windows with new quality units, added French doors
off our dining room, replaced the front screen door & installed
a new hot water tank. They took care of everything for us;
hiring sub-trades, obtaining city permits, applying paint &
finishing touches etc. Our friends & relatives have commented
on how beautiful our house looks now & we strongly recommend
they call W.E. Young Renovations for any home improvements they
are considering. We hope to use Young Renovations again in the

W.E. Young Renovations Ltd. They completed a major renovation of
the basement in our 50 year old home. They designed the floor
plan and completed all the work, from insulation of the exterior
walls to the finishing touches.
During the eight weeks they spent renovating, we were impressed

spring.
Our basement was developed
in 2003 by W.E. Young Renovations, they did an awesome job, a
crack in the foundation that had be repaired prior to us
purchasing the house began leaking in 2005. Bill came out and
recommended a long term repair; I suggested the exterior of the
basement be insulated at the same time, he talked to his
suppliers and came up with a very good solution. With what
seemed like a lot of disruption they managed to complete the
home, taking care to lay plywood over the entire working area to
protect it from all the activity.
Our basement was comfortable
before, but the difference is noticeable and not just in the
basement.

W.E. Young Renovations Ltd. completed a
main floor renovation for us several months ago. At our house
warming we were asked to forward a testimonial to the Young’s.
Without hesitation we would recommend
this company. Our new oak kitchen, hardwood floors, new windows,
doors and trim are just what our tired 1960 bungalow needed.
We were displaced for a time and
consumed by the renovations. Looking back, it was very worth the
inconvenience. The elegance of the new design has made coming
home even more enjoyable for us both.
We will be having them back to redevelop
our basement rooms.
