Read through and browse the photos of our testimonial and client quote page, WE hope that this helps your decision to contact us regarding any work you would like to have complete on your home.

Our house was becoming to small for our family so we contacted primarily two companies to propose a solution for our problem. Bill at W.E. Young Renovations came out and met with us. Within a very short period we knew his plans for our ideas would work and we contracted them to complete our renovations. Their crew was professional and enthusiastic. Thanks again for the great changes to our home

We would recommend W.E. Young Renovations to do anyones kitchen. During the design process it was recommended the removal of a wall and offsetting a peninsula for a kitchen table, it was unique and has served us nicely in the past few months. From the details of the contract to the details in the designs, they did a great job.

Developing our 2500 square foot basement was not without design challenges. The round bar and cozy sitting area with fireplace are our favourite areas.Thank you all for your great work and wish you the best.

Thank you for the timely repair to our foundation and replacing our weeping tile. I have attached a wonderful photo I took of the salvageable saved clay weeping tile, I am going to use for a wine rack. Job well done and just in time before winter really hit.

Recently W.E. Young Renovations did an extensive bath renovation for us. They replaced our bathtub, fixed the blockage in the taps, laid limestone tiles, built us beautiful cabinets and installed a new counter and sink in our vanity. We were very pleased with the results as we started with a very ordinary bathroom that was looking pretty worn and ended up with a high-end modern bathroom that is bright and impressive to view. We were very impressed with some Bill’s suggestions and ideas that we had not even thought of when we started to look around for a contractor. After checking with three other companies we chose W.E. Young Renovations and recommend them for their quality work. We also found that the crew was very pleasant and willing to make small changes and fix any deficiencies that occurred during the project, We appreciated the input and personal attention that a small company can provide and would consider them again for other projects we may have in the future.

Darkening the existing cabinets, new granite and back splash and giving us new floors throughout the house will really motivate us to change other parts of the house and may included them as we progress.

The rot you found on the porch was as you expected. We are so glad you insisted to dig into it, confirming the extent of the damage. So glad we rebuild it and stopped considering to just leaving it. Everything done would have been a waste.

Considering you guys had such limited accesses I have to commend you on creating such a beautiful lawn area knowing the grade issue we had to deal with.

Thank you for removing that ugly broken driveway and repairing the block basement wall. I thought I knew how much work it was to repair that problem but now know I had no idea. I have to commend you for keeping me in the loop to your daily progress.

I knew the sunroom floor was in bad shape, seeing the out side walls really showed me I made the right decision to have to rebuild the area into a full time great room.

While you were gutting our basement I discovered this in the wall and meant share it with you guys, it is one of many newspapers found in the wall. A time capsule of times gone by. The Building Inspector has come and gone, I really expected it to take longer. Everything is AOK. Thank you for your help in making that old basement dry and beautiful. As you said, we were happy to see you show up and happier to see you leave.
Meant in the of best ways.

Seeing the landscape finished, I don’t remember what it once looked like. I really like how the patio stone gives us such a better place to sit outside and enjoy the new yard. You may be coming back to repair the side yard next year.

I had no idea that the wood walls sitting on top of the foundation were below the grade. No other contractors who came out even noticed that. They wanted to put foam in the cracks and that was it. Seeing this for myself once you pointed it out freaked me out and then seeing the damage behind the walls that you said we would likely find after you fixed the cause of the water coming in, really set me at ease knowing your plan was my best route. I am exited to continue and have the basement professionally finished by you.

Hello, the counters are going in this morning, I'm doing a little juggling with our time because of the change to stay out of their way. The panty still sucks. I am meeting with them to find a solution.

We have to thank you for the changes made to our front and rear yard sidewalks and patio. The stone pattern that you incorporated matched very well with the stone we already had.

I just returned from a trip and am amazed by the changes to the yard. Thank you for your input and understanding my limited budget for repairing the foundation. The other areas as you suggested can be done as I need or are required.

It was unfortunate that I had to remove the Fireplace chase because it was tipping over. Thanks again for your consideration and dealing with my new neighbour regarding the limited access and dealing with those issues.

September 30, 2014

Thank you for what you did to complete the work done in our basement, I know that some issues need to be dealt with and you executed them perfectly. The girls are going to have a great time with the entertainment centre, I am calling you for a new bar just as soon as I win the lottery. Truly, very happy with the time you guys spent here.

Hello Bill! Got some feedback from my sister, who had fridge beside oven in her old house. She had a few concerns about that set up. Just wondering if the oven could be on the opposite side with the microwave above it. Not sure what a design element range hood means, but it sounds interesting. My sister had some other advice regarding what types of cupboards I would like and where -- maybe we could discuss this when I see you next.

I checked out the ducts that I could see the in the ceiling and they looked good so I'm crossing my fingers. I also got two samples (lino floor and ceiling tiles in that one bedroom) tested for Asbestos and there is good news with one and bad with the other (I'll forward it after). If I'm reading it correctly, the floor material has some asbestos present. Perhaps we could just put the dricore over top of the lino to avoid disturbing it as a solution (rather than removing it)? I guess that may not work in that area we are thinking of for the shower (outside of the existing bathroom) since you'll be digging up the concrete there.
